Kyusho Jitsu Kenkyukai Instructors, organisers and volunteers are registered with Disclosure Scotland and are required to undergo PVG checks as mandatory.

All PVG certificates are shared with the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA) with which all Instructors, organisers and volunteers are registered.

The Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme is managed by Disclosure Scotland. It helps ensure people who are unsuitable to work with children and protected adults cannot do regulated roles with these groups.

It’s a legal requirement to join the PVG scheme if you are involved in a regulated role working with children and protected adults.

As of 1st July 2025, it is a criminal offence to participate in any of the below roles without obtaining PVG registration first:

• Instructors
• Coaches
• Assistant Coaches
• Group Welfare Officers
